Australian Stamping & Papercraft Christmas Classics

When I first saw the catalogue this set jumped out at me. I loved the clean lines and the symmetry of the images.

These cards were published in Australian Stamping & Papercraft Magazine Vol 15. No. 5 which was a couple of issues ago. I used the symmetry of the images to make them 3D.

I've been asked before for tips on how to get work published. One thing to remember is that magazines work a long way in advance. These cards had to be in to the magazine in June for an October/November issue. The biggest tip is to not get disheartened if they don't get accepted. It might simply be a case that the magazine has had too much of a certain technique, colour or project recently and they have no room for your work. Over the next couple of days I'll share with you some of the work I didn't get accepted!

I loved these cards when I saw them in the mag Jayne - the colours you used were terrific - a nice change from Christmas red and green. I have submitted, unsuccessfully, a couple of sets of cards to a magazine this year and, yes, it is very disheartening to be turned down. Looking forward to seeing the ones that weren't published.

Hi Jayne,

These cards are really nice, They are so simple and clean cut. The star card is my favorite one, love it! I love the colours too, I would not think about using these colours for Christmas, but now I have seen how nice they look, I will give it a try.

Take Care, Fiona :)
