Holidays

Apologies for the long gap between posts. Just back from a family holiday. Had a lovely time, very relaxing, hard to come back to reality!

I did do some stamping though! Got all my Christmas cards finished so that's a big job done.

Thought I'd share with you two photos (taken by my hubby) of our lovely holiday. Could share more but not sure you'd want to see photos of my children with various farm animals or playing cricket!

The view from our holiday cottage on the first evening.

The fire we lit on the last night for the children, ok the adults too!

Will be back later with some stamping posts!

Puffle cake!

I do have some cards to share but need to wait for daylight to photograph them so I thought I'd share a bit of my family life and show you the fantastic cake my husband decorated for our 7 year old's birthday party last weekend.

For those of you not familiar with Club Penguin (the penguin in the card a few posts below) the cake is in the shape of a Puffle - the pets of the penguins of course!

We were lucky that Joshua's favourite puffle colour is blue as Woolworths sold fairy floss in pink and blue only! It tasted good too!

All quiet on the blog front

Happy 6th Birthday Joshua

Things have been a little quiet in terms of blog entries from me for a week or so. A couple of reasons, sick children, tonsilitis for me - antibiotics helping, and a party to plan for 25 five and six year old boys tomorrow afternoon!

So I thought I'd upload the cakes I've decorated for the party. Even managed to use craft supplies to make it! The circles are cut using mini cutters I bought to cut Opals! The ribbon is SU! as are the alphabet stamps used to make the birthday tag!

I can't believe that my little boy is turning 6 tomorrow. Time sure flies.

Normal service will be resumed shortly

Apologies for the lack of updates recently. For the best part of a week I've been sick. Spending so many days in bed is enough to drive me crazy. I've now made it out to the sofa so I am getting better but it looks like hubby is coming down with it now.

Fingers crossed I'll have things to share by the weekend.

Royal Easter Show

As you can see from the photos above we had a lovely day out at the Easter Show yesterday. We arrived at 9am and left at 6pm! Two very tired adults!

I have been stamping this week too but the cards I made have been accepted for a future issue of Stamping & Papercraft so I'm afraid I can't share them. Hopefully I'll get some time to stamp or scrapbook today and will be able to share.

My little boy has turned 3. Where has the last year gone? Xander loves dogs, well animals in general actually! So I had to have a card with dogs on it! The images are coloured in with the Watercolor Wonder Crayons which are retiring as a full set at the end of this month.

Stamped family!

I could hear the boys giggling away in Joshua's bedroom and thought how nice it was to hear them playing together. A few minutes later they came out to show me their handiwork! Have tried to clean them up but it could be a few days before Xander's wears off!

Note to self: If they're happy together and having so much fun - check on them!

This morning

I haven't anything creative to upload as I've had a busy week and the one set of cards I did make yesterday have been snapped up by Stamping & Papercraft so you'll have to wait for them to be published to see them.

So I thought I'd share photos from my morning. This morning we dropped Joshua to school by 8:30am and then Xander and I headed off to Bobbin Head. Bobbin Head is within Ku-ring-gai National Park and only a 5 minute drive from our home. Driving in I realised how far into the park the recent bush fires had reached. The smell of burnt trees in parts was still strong.

Bobbin Head is one of my favourite places, it's such a beautiful place. I thought I'd share a collage of some of the photographs I took. We checked out the fish, the crabs, went for a little bush walk then had a play in the playground before heading home. The best bit was we had it all to ourselves. What a peaceful way to spend a couple of hours.

PS. For those of you who watch The Biggest Loser the bridge in the photos is the one featured on tonight's episode.

Christmas helpers

I think I'm finally on the mend. Gareth went back to work today and I managed a normal day with the boys. Grabbed some Santa hats today and tried to get a nice photo of the boys together - didn't succeed! Got some OK ones of them individually which I'll share.

Xander having lots of fun.

Joshua looking a little pensive!

Co-operative as always!

My birthday

My gorgeous boys and the yummy cake they helped to make
- they're saying "Monkeys" to the camera!

I had a lovely birthday today. I got to have a lie in, go out to lunch, play putt putt golf with my family and then eat this yummy cake that my boys helped to bake for me. Everyone in the family has had the smartie cake this year by request from Joshua!

Tomorrow I'll photograph the lovely cards I've received from lots of people. Thank you to everyone who has sent me birthday wishes today.
